The Science and Technology Library, together with the Sustainability Office, organises an informative talk on “Biodiversity on Campus: a journey through the hidden ecosystems”. The event forms part of the dissesminsation series La Tarima, where the different projects that are being carried out on biodiversity on the UAB campus will be presented in 10-minute micro-talks.
Programme:
- 1 p.m. Opening speech. Xavier Gabarrell (Vice-Rector for Campus and Sustainability)
- 1:10 p.m. Mionitoring of micro-mammals. Francesc Muñoz
- 1:20 p.m. Monitoring of butterflies (as an indicator of environmental quality). Marina Alba
- 1:30 p.m. How to favour bees by managing the campus' green areas. Anselm Rodrigo
- 1:40 p.m. Ringing of swifts and installation of nest boxes. Marc Illa and José Luis Copete
- 1:50 p.m. Small uncut areas: orchids, meadows and live tree pits. Núria Pujolar and Anna Florensa
- 2:00 p.m. Aquatic refugees and environments for reptiles and amphibians. Alejandro García-Salmerón
