Joan Francesc Pinella to talk on crystallography in celebration of Saint Albert's Day

On 4 November at 12 noon, the conference hall of the building C will play host to the celebrations organised for Saint Albert's Day, patron saint of the faculties of experimental sciences. The event will include speeches by Isidre Gibert, dean of the Faculty of Biosciences, and by Juan Jesús Donaire, dean of the Faculty of Science. Following their speeches, lecturer Joan Francesc Pinella, from the Crystallopgraphy and Mineralogy Unit of the UAB Department of Geology, will give a conference entitled "50 Years of Crystallography at the UAB". After the conference, Montserrat López, secretary and vice-dean of the Faculty of Science, will read the cursus honorum in recognition of all those members of both faculties who are retiring this year. Finally, Rector Javier Lafuente will give the closing speech. The event will be streamed online.
