The UAB and Cadena Ser organise an International Radio Congress

On 15 November at 9 a.m. Barcelona's CaixaFòrum will play host to over 100 speakers from 10 different countries who will be participating in the International Radio Congress, organised by the Cadena Ser radion station and the Faculty of Communication Studies at the UAB, and will discuss the future of the radio. Salvador Illa, president of the Government of Catalonia, will present the congress, which will then be followed by the inaugual speech given by Iñaki Gabilondo, journalist and presenter.

The congress will be divided into two sessions, one on 15 November and the second, on 16 November. The first meeting will serve to talk about subjects related to the sustainability of radiophonic models, the future of the industry, new multimedia, radio and music formats, new languages and the role of publicly-owned radio stations around the world.

Round tables will also be held with local and international professionals and experts, both working in radio, journalism, academics, politicians, advertising, audiovisual and business studies.
