Commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the UAB's European Documentation Centre

Esther Barbé, Joan Clavera and Blanca Vilà, who directed the European Documentation Centre of the UAB in different periods, will share their memories in an event that will take place on 4 October at 11:30 a.m. at the CDE facilities in commemoration of its 40th anniversary. Also participating will be the secretary general and former dean of the UAB Faculty of Law, Esther Zapater; Laura Rahola, as representative of the Office of the European Commission in Barcelona; and Antoni Serra Ramoneda, professor of economics who was rector of the UAB at the time the CDE was created.

Following the speeches, the conference hall of the Faculty of Law will host a conference by Sylvaine Peruzzetto, judge at the Court of Cassation of France, who will give a lecture on national judges and the application of EU law at the inauguration of the 2024/25 academic year of the Master in European Integration at the UAB. This will also serve to commemorate the 40th anniversary of European postgraduate studies at the UAB. In attendance will be UAB Rector Javier Lafuente; Secretary General Esther Zapater; Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology Xavier Ballart; Dean of the Faculty of Law Susana Navas; and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies Àlex Rialp.
