Foundation purposes

The  UAB Research Park Foundation (M.P.) aims to:

• The establishment, promotion, start-up, development, management and operation of a technological and business research, development and innovation park, under the name "Parc de Recerca UAB", and made up of the different institutions, companies, entities and centers that Currently and in the future they are members, to improve knowledge management, especially in the scientific, technological and innovation spheres, and to promote the transfer of knowledge and communication and interaction between universities, public research organizations, companies and society in general. 
• The coordination and management of the unique elements and infrastructures that make up the UAB Research Park (institutes, centers, companies and scientific-technical and training services), as well as the best structuring of the relations and joint activities between the research groups of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Institutes, Companies and Centers of the UAB Research Park and the UAB Sphere;
• The promotion of business competitiveness and entrepreneurial activity by working with companies and promoting the creation of new companies and business lines based on knowledge, technological improvement, and innovation, with the objectives of maximum competitiveness, sustainability, ethical and business excellence; attract and facilitate the establishment of scientific and technological research, development and innovation centers; assist members in their relationships with the business world and administrative environment;
• Helping member companies and entities to seek aid and incentives for research, development, innovation and entrepreneurial activity;
• Promote, with the public profile of the founders, and of the other Centers and Institutes of the Park as producers of quality and innovative research, research and innovation as a benchmark for innovative companies and research institutions, providing promotion and communication services the activities of the UAB Research Park and the UAB Sphere;
• The production, edition, and publication of all kinds of publications in any format, or medium, as well as articles, monographs and others with scientific and technological content; the organization of all kinds of training activities, seminars, courses, exhibitions and presentations, and similar events, as well as symposia and conventions, in order to promote the dissemination of technological and entrepreneurial research and development and innovation tasks of the members of the Park;
• In general, carry out all those actions aimed at promoting relations between the university, the business world, and society, within the scientific and technological sphere, contributing to the scientific, technological, economic, social, and cultural development of society in general;
• Said activities may be carried out either directly or with other agents and entities, through acts, contracts and legal deals of all kinds, among others, agreements, covenants, investments and financing of the aforementioned activities in which the Foundation may take part. , within what is allowed by the law that is applicable at all times.
