Baihui Duan i Rebekah Clements have been awarded a 2023 Vandervort Prize from the Society for Military History for their article, “Fighting for Forests: Protection and Exploitation of K¿je Island Timber during the East Asian War of 1592–1598,” Environmental History vol.27, no.3, (2022), pp.415–440.

The Vandervort Prizes recognize four scholarly articles published in the previous year that contribute to the field of military history, broadly understood.
