The Doctorate Program in Sociology is accredited by the Ministry of Universities with a Seal of Excellence from the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU), dated June 18, 2021.

The Doctorate Program in Sociology has earned a Mention of Excellence from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport (ref. EDU/3429/2010, December 28, 2010).

The department co-organizes and co-manages the Interuniversity Doctorate in Gender Studies, Cultures, Societies and Politics in collaboration with the Universities of Barcelona, Girona, Rovira i Virgili and Vic.
