Sixty teaching staff members take part on-site in the second edition of the specific training course for supervising Final Degree Projects with service-learning methodology at the UAB
This past October, two groups of sixty teaching staff members from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona took part in the two sessions (29 and 31) from the second edition of the training course “How to supervise a TFG with SL methodology? Exploring supervised teaching with a commitment to the territory”, organised by the UAB’s Service-Learning (SL) Office.

Intended primarily for teaching and research staff (PDI) interested in Supervising Final Degree Projects that include service-learning methodology, the technical team from the SL Office delivered this training course with the help of two lecturers with extensive experience in this field: Eva Castells (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine), who led the Tuesday session, and Paloma Valdivia (Faculty of Educational Sciences), who taught the Friday session.
The aim of these sessions was to provide attendees the practical tools and specific knowledge necessary to supervise TFGs with SL methodology and raise the profile of these projects within the UAB. The initiative served to create a cooperative educational environment in which participants had the opportunity to share experiences, concerns, questions and strategies surrounding the effective implementation of SL in their respective academic fields, through theoretical content and dynamic practical exercises.
With enthusiastic participants and growing interest, this second edition of the training programme once again exceeded all expectations, attesting to the commitment of PDI at the UAB to transformative teaching methods aligned with the needs of the territory.
