Training
There are different service-learning training options, which vary based on the course content and who they are intended for.
For teaching staff…
- The SL Office organises specific training courses each academic year. The training course that was offered during the 2024-2025 academic year was “How to supervise a TFG with SL methodology? Exploring supervised teaching with a commitment to the territory”, for teaching staff supervising a TFG with SL methodology for the first time or who have never taken an SL training course and wish to do so. - The SL Office also recommends that PDI request tailored training, which makes it possible to adapt the course content to the needs of the group of lecturers. The maximum duration of the training course is eight hours, and at least ten lecturers must sign up. The Training and Professional Development Unit at the UAB offers two calls a year. - Lastly, teaching staff may also sign up for a more general course, which is usually offered among the continuing education options available in July. The name of the course is “Let’s do SL! Service-learning projects that link subject content to a real social action”.
For students and organisation members...
Specific training is sometimes offered for final degree projects with SL methodology, for both UAB students in the year prior to their TFG and organisation members interested in cooperating in this type of project.
On 27 November, from 1 to 2 p.m., there will be a training course for all students assigned a Final Degree Project with SL methodology this academic year. If you would like to attend, please let us know.
