SL at the UAB

Service-learning at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona falls under the auspices of the Vice-Rectorate for Studies and Quality and is managed by the SL Office, which has the following functions:

 

Promotion of SL at the UAB

• Dissemination, management and monitoring of SL initiatives.
• Dissemination of the methodology among teaching staff and students.
• Promotion of the organisations among teaching staff and students at the UAB.
• Organisation of events such as SL Day at the UAB and the TFGs with SL Awards.
• Reporting of all SL-related initiatives.

 

Promotion of SL among external organisations

• Identification of social and environmental needs within the territory.
• Incorporation of new organisations through partnership proposals involving SL.
• Dissemination of the UAB’s SL programmes among public bodies and institutions.

 

Advice for teaching staff

• Organisation of internal and tailored training sessions.
• Advice for teaching staff interested in introducing SL into their teaching.
• Networking with organisations from the territory that are involved in the field of study.

 

Networking

• Participation in the ApS(U)Cat Network.
• Cooperation with UAB Challenges.
• Participation in other SL-related fields within the University.
• Cooperation with the territory through social and environmental organisations and public institutions.
