In order to renew the recognised training of staff members working with experimental animals for one or more functions, in accordance with Ministerial Order ECC/566/2015, of 20 March, continuous training must be accredited every eight years from the date of approval of the said Ministerial Order.

Continuing education activities will be considered to be teaching or attending courses, publication of articles, ethical evaluations, seminars, papers, workshops or scientific conferences, authorised stays in research centres, or other similar activities, that are aimed at learning new techniques, methods or regulations applicable to animal experimentation or that help to keep them up to date (the details of the activities and their assessment in hours can be found in this Guide to Ongoing Staff Training).

To process a request for ongoing training for staff members who handle animals used for scientific purposes, it is necessary to do so via the following link, set up by the Government of Catalonia.

The CERec, together with the UAB Training Unit, also organises courses and the EU offers free courses on the ETPLAS platform.
