Maths Saturdays
We want to share our passion for Mathematics.
The Department of Mathematics of the UAB wants to show which is the presence of the Mathematics in the current world and to share the passion for this science with Secondary School students, their teachers and anyone interested. Because of that, each year 4 sessions have been programmed.
This year the Mathematics Department, with the participation of the Social Council, of the UAB once again organises Mathematics Saturdays.
Since the 2003/2004 academic year, the Department of Mathematics of the Autonomous University of Barcelona has organised every year the Saturdays of mathematics. During four Saturdays, 4 talks are held together with other activities to show some aspects of the presence of mathematics in today's world and share the passion for this science.
Do you want to design a spatial mission and to hear yourself like a controller of the NASA? You want to know how they work or the sundials are constructed? Do you want to understand the random games better? Then come on Saturdays of the Mathematics, some informative sessions addressed to the students of secundary school, to the teachers of these students, and to the persons, in general, interested to discover the secrets of mathematics, which they are much more than a science!
