Bachelor's degree in Applied Statistics

The UAB offers studies in Statistics since 1991-1992. Study plans have been changing: 3-year diploma with different curriculum and finally the current Grade in Applied Statistics, with a first curriculum adapted to the European Area of Higher Education (ESEA), implemented at the UAB in 2009-10, and with a change in 2019-20.

The development of Statistics has been the main application of Mathematics in the 20th century. Its techniques are used in clinical trials, econometric and psychometric studies, population surveys, etc. Furthermore, it is essential in the new challenges represented by large volumes of data, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
