It is defined by the SCV Standard (Norma CVN), a set of technical specifications that regulate all aspects of the standard curriculum vitae, resulting in a unique and standardised digital CV.
This takes the form of an electronic PDF file, where each researcher's curricular data is organised by fields and stored in an XML format. This ensures that the standardised information can be electronically transferred to different databases, facilitating further analysis or conversion into other formats, such as print or file outputs.
The SCV prevents researchers from having to manually re-enter their CV details into forms or applications used for various calls for public funding.
