Affiliation
UAB Recommendations for the Standardised Author Signature
- Authors should always include their institutional affiliation. The Code of Good Practice in Research (Agreement of the Governing Council: 30 September 2020) states that:
“All researchers must clearly state their affiliation to the UAB in their papers. This is also the case when a researcher is assigned to other research structures (institutes, observatories, etc.). Researchers’ affiliation to the UAB and standardised signature must comply with instructions from the vice-rector responsible for research matters”.
General Recommendations
- Authors must choose a unique name from among the possible variants
- Affiliation should follow the order: name of department, centre, or institute (in the full name, as used in the original language); the institution to which it is affiliated (university); postal address; city; and country (recommended in English).
- If an author has multiple affiliations, all of them must be stated.
- In the case of centres that depend on multiple institutions, it is advisable to specify the name of the centre and the institutions to which it is affiliated. Please check specific recommendations from your centre.
