Purchase Suggestions
The UAB libraries are dedicated to acquiring documents and maintaining comprehensive collections that support academic and research programs. Our collections are dynamic and adaptable, evolving to accommodate new learning models, a variety of formats, and the accessibility of resources (such as e-books, online articles, databases, etc.), as well as emerging publishing trends.
Reviewing the bibliography in teaching guides is one of the ways we identify and address the needs of users in their learning.
All members of the UAB community are encouraged to request and/or suggest the purchase of bibliographic resources.
If you would like the UAB libraries to acquire a document you’re interested in, you may submit a purchase request.
UAB professors can request new subscriptions, cancel existing ones, or change the University Cost Centre Number associated with a subscription. Subscriptions are evaluated annually to determine which titles will be renewed, added, or cancelled.
