Political Posters
A collection of political posters from the 1970s to the present day, available in both paper and digital formats.
This collection primarily reflects the political activity during Spain's transition to democracy. It includes political campaign advertisements from various elections (national, regional, and local), as well as promotional materials for political parties, trade unions, and civil society associations. Additionally, it features a selection of international posters from different decades of the 20th century, mainly from Italy and Chile, alongside some from France, Portugal, Greece, and the Soviet Union, as well as Josep Vinyals' personal collection.
Today, political posters are often digital-native documents, automatically collected through the monitoring of political parties' posts on social media.
Collection description: 15,000 posters in paper format and over 6,000 in digital format.
Collection date range: 1970 - To the present
