In March, we launched two engaging bibliographic exhibitions focused on women's issues, presented as part of the UAB's 8M events, celebrating and raising awareness around gender equality and women's rights.

At the annual meeting of the Infolocal Ràdio in Granollers, held on 26 February, the UAB and the Xarxa Audiovisual Local (XAL)  presented an agreement signed by both institutions allowing the XAL to add content to the Radio Sound Archive of Catalonia (UAB). This non-profit project, aimed to be of public service, is currently formed by 11,125 radiophonic registries from a total of 1,250 radio stations broadcast between 1924 and 2025.

For International Women's Day, the UAB Libraries, in collaboration with Healthy Campus and SAF, are offering free activities to support women's well-being. These include a hypopressive exercise workshop and Biblio Move, which blends physical activity with study-enhancing techniques. Register now!

The Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives celebrates the centenary of the iconic New York magazine with an exhibition of its covers.

Journalist, writer, and playwright from Valencia, a victim of censorship during the post-war period, who fought to maintain his literary and committed voice in a context of political and cultural repression, and who now forms part of the collection at the Humanities Library.

The Periodicals Room of the Humanities Library hosts two new exhibitions throughout the month of February: "Romanian Cosmovisions" and "Japanese writers in our home".

The UAB has new agreements with the American Society for Microbiology, De Gruyter and John Benjamins, and the renewal of the agreements with SpringerNature, Wiley and the American Chemical Society has been approved.

The Humanities Library at the UAB has completed the cataloguing of the Francesc Parcerisas collection, which includes manuscripts and typescripts of his translations of Italian, English, and French works, among which is notable The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.

The exhibition aims to showcase the 18 women who have been awarded honorary doctorates by the UAB, while also celebrating the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on 11 February, and International Women's Day on 8 March.
