Ingrid Lundber, UAB honoris causa

Lundberg is one of the protagonists of the exhibition "The Honorary Doctors of the UAB", an initiative that makes visible and pays tribute to the 18 women who have received this recognition from the UAB. The exhibition highlights their scientific and academic careers, as well as their contribution in the fields of research and teaching.

The exhibition can be visited in several UAB libraries, including the Humanities, the Teaching Units of Medicine, Sabadell, Social Sciences and Communication. It also offers a virtual version with biographical and bibliographical information on each of the honorary doctorates, which allows wider access to their legacy.

This initiative is part of the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

A track record of excellence in rheumatology

Professor in the Division of Rheumatology at the Karolinska Institute and senior consultant at Karolinska University Hospital (Sweden), Lundberg is an international reference in the study of inflammatory myositis or myopathies. She has led key projects in the classification of these diseases and in the creation of a European registry with more than 5,000 patients. His collaboration with the UAB has led to important advances in research and training in this field, consolidating a close relationship between the two institutions.
