Participate in the 2025-2030 Action Plan of the UAB Libraries!

This plan is structured around the following pillars:

• Teaching: The libraries accompany learning by creating personalized training pathways and collaborate on initiatives that promote the creation and use of open educational resources. We are dynamic spaces that facilitate the creation of connections with students to improve their learning.
• Research: The libraries work closely with the research field and are committed to open science. We provide training and advice to the teaching and research staff (PDI) in these areas. We assist with publication and scientific communication in open access through the UAB Digital Document Repository (DDD).
• People: People are the driving force of the institution, and a trained and motivated team is necessary to face future challenges, committed, adaptable, and satisfied.
• Campus: The libraries are committed to having versatile and flexible spaces that foster exchange, collaboration, learning, and the circulation of ideas among the university community. We incorporate new perspectives into the collection such as accessibility, diversity, and inclusion, with particular attention to the unique collections that distinguish us.
• Governance: Libraries must drive digital transformation and the improvement of processes and services using emerging technologies, aiming to be increasingly efficient and transparent.
• Recognition: The UAB Libraries want to be a dynamic agent of the university community, collaborating with different areas within the university and externally, and creating new partnerships. We seek to create an environment that promotes the holistic development of individuals, offering activities and events that have a social impact.
