Narrative and Social Impact: New Sections on the Research Accreditation and Evaluation Support Website
If you're planning to submit a research proposal or need to get accredited soon, be sure to check out the new sections on Narrative and Social Impact on the Research Accreditation and Evaluation Support Website.
In the Narrative section, you will find a series of general recommendations and examples through practical cases (article, book chapter, and exhibition) to help you craft your narrative regarding the metrics for Contribution, Dissemination Medium, and Open Scientific Contribution, which are adopted by the agencies assessing research (ANECA and AQU). On the DDD, you can consult Table 1 from ANECA (List of possible metrics, sources, and dimensions to demonstrate the value of each contribution), which has been expanded by the UAB Library Service.
If you are looking to create a plan to measure and manage the social impact of your research, we recommend visiting the Social Impact section, where you will find steps towards impact, how to measure it, and a list of good practices. On the DDD, you will find:
- A non-exhaustive table of examples of social impact indicators and evidence.
- An impact planning template.
- An impact monitoring template.
Additionally, based on the latest calls from ANECA and AQU, we have updated the Sources and Indicators sections of the website.
