Meat Digital Archive

Meat Digital Archive (Memoria Càrnia Digital - MCD) is the result of a digitisation project for the professional slide collection of Xavier Fàbregas i Comadran, an official veterinarian, spanning the years 1988–2012. The collection focuses on veterinary inspections of slaughterhouses and meat.

Collection description: The collection comprises 74 records containing over 5,000 photographs. Its aim is to provide professionals, technicians, researchers, and students in related fields with a digital resource for multidisciplinary consultation, offering in-depth coverage of key topics that remains relevant for ongoing education and training. This collection is available exclusively in digital format.

The MCD complements other collections, including: the Digital Slaughterhouse Archive, Digital Archive of Veterinary Ethnology, Digital Pollancre Archive, Digital Animal Production Archive, Digital Archive of Rural Life, Digital Forest Archive, and Digital Gastronomic Archive.
