José Mallorquí collection
José Mallorquí (Barcelona, 1913 – Madrid, 1972) was a writer and screenwriter. A prominent figure in popular literature, he is best remembered for his contributions to the adventure and popular novel genres.
While he explored several literary genres, Mallorquí achieved lasting fame for his contributions to the western genre. His most iconic creation is El Coyote, a character introduced in 1943. The series ran until 1952, comprising a total of 192 titles.
In addition to his westerns, Mallorquí authored numerous novels and short stories across other genres, including science fiction and detective fiction. He also made significant contributions to radio, where he worked as a scriptwriter for various serial dramas.
