WhatsApp Information Service

The UAB libraries offer a service to resolve queries and provide information about the services and resources we offer, enabling users to request information instantly via WhatsApp messages. This service is available to everyone, whether or not they are part of the UAB university community.

Privacy of Personal Data

Conversations on WhatsApp do not require prior identification and are private. However, they may be retained for statistical purposes and to improve the service.

Library staff may request an email address or other contact details if a query cannot be addressed immediately, or if the response is too lengthy or complex for WhatsApp.

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council, dated 27 April 2016, concerning the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, we inform you that any data provided through this instant messaging service will be used for its management.

In line with WhatsApp's terms and conditions, the system may periodically access the contact list of the phone used by the Library. By using this Library instant messaging service, users are deemed to accept these terms and conditions.
