The consortial borrowing or PUC is a free and fast service that allows you to get paper books, chapters and electronic articles from other Catalan and foreign universities when they are not available at UAB.
Through the Search engine you can find book chapters and electronic journal articles from many foreign university libraries.
You can also borrow paper books from the following universities: UB, UPC, UPF, UdG, UdL, URV, UOC, URL, UVic-UCC, TecnoCampus and the Biblioteca de Catalunya. If you prefer, you can go in person to the library where the documents belong (on-site loan).
From the search engine, log in with NIU and password, do the search and if you don't find the document you are looking for, click on ‘expand your search’. Choose the chapter or article you are looking for and send the form. You will receive it by email within 24 hours.

Loan conditions:
You can borrow up to 10 documents for 21 days.
You can renew them up to a maximum of 6 times.
To renew items, you must do so online via My account before the due date. However, please note that renewals will not be possible if the items have been reserved by another user, if you have reached the maximum number of renewals, if there is a block on your account, or if you have documents that are still pending return.
You can return borrowed items to any UAB library during opening hours or drop them off in the book return boxes. You may also return items to any library within the affiliated institution.
The delay in a document return will mean you will not be entitled to borrow documents for the same number of days late. These rules apply to each document returned late, not including holidays or weekends.
In the event of loss or deterioration of a loaned item, the user will have to replace or pay for the damaged or lost item according to what is established by CSUC.
