Collections

The UAB libraries provide a vast collection of resources to support both teaching and research. These collections are designed to meet the needs of users for their learning, as well as to support the university's priority research areas. The collection includes a wide range of resources made available to the entire university community through various tools, ensuring adequate access and presenting them in the most suitable format for each case (either physical or digital).

Users can access over 1,300,000 physical copies, nearly 48,000 collections of periodicals, and more than 1,000,000 electronic documents, as well as specific collections such as special collections, personal and institutional archives, and the university’s own publications.

To ensure the ongoing development of the collection, the UAB Libraries prepare a General Collection Plan. We encourage you to contribute to this development by submitting requests for document acquisitions.
