Carandell Economic Library
Compiled by economist Joan Carandell i Marimón (1901-1988), this specialised collection focuses on Economics and Economic Thought. It also includes documents on Sociology and Law from the 16th to the 20th centuries. A portion of the collection has been digitised.
Collection description: The collection comprises over 11,000 documents from the 19th and 20th centuries, including more than 175 periodicals, 1,800 pamphlets, and 600 Reserve Collection volumes from the 16th to 18th centuries. Additionally, it features approximately 1,130 other documents, including around 110 Pragmatics (from the 16th to 19th centuries) and 325 royal charters, alongside various normative documents. There is also documentation from the Institutional Collection of the Mint of the Principality of Catalonia, dating back to 1808.
