Audiovisual resources for academic use - Videos
Several video audiovisual resources are available for academic use.
- Adforum. A database of advertisements (mostly TV commercials) subscribed to by the UAB. For uses beyond the right to quote and the right of illustration, please contact them.
- Coverr. Public domain videos (check the Coverr Licence section). Categories include Aerial Videography, Backgrounds, Vertical (for mobile use), and Mood, among others.
- Europeana. Access millions of downloadable videos. Be sure to check the usage permissions for each item and restrict your search to videos.
- Flickr. You can search by format (e.g., videos) and filter results by licence. Always verify the licence for each resource.
- Moving Image Archive. A part of the Internet Archive. For each collection, check the "About" tab and read the terms of use carefully.
- Pexels. Offers public domain videos and photographs, available in multiple languages. Be sure to check the Pexels licence details for each item.
- Pixabay. Provides images and videos with a CC0 licence (public domain). Check the Pixabay licence for more details. Available in various languages.
- Procomún. A platform from the Spanish Ministry of Education containing images, videos, and sounds with Creative Commons licences. Check the Terms of use for Procomún.
- Vecteezy. A vast database that includes videos (mainly video clips). It offers three types of licences and allows you to filter results by licence type.
- Videvo. Search for free videos and filter results by licence type, including their own and CC-BY licences. Visit the Videvo Licensing page for further details.
- Videezy. Offers both free and paid videos. It provides various types of licences, with the standard licence being similar to a CC-BY licence.
- Vimeo.A video hosting service that allows you to filter search results by licence and browse videos grouped by licence type.
- Wikimedia Commons. Offers images, sounds, and videos, with the licence provided for each resource. Check out the Wikimedia Commons: Videos category.
- YouTube.Two licences available: Standard and CC BY. Read about Creative Commons at YouTube. To search for videos with CC-BY licences, go to Filters > Features > Creative Commons.
