Workshop on Miniscopes at Institut de Neurociències
The AnderoLab is hosting an advanced workshop on in vivo calcium imaging using Miniscopes from June 10th to 12th, 2025. This intensive three-day course will equip participants with essential skills for studying neuronal activity in freely moving rodents.

An international team of researchers from the AnderoLab will give this course, entitled "Basic Training on Miniscopes in Neuroscience", which will offer hands-on training in this cutting-edge technique, covering theoretical principles, practical sessions on stereotaxic surgery with dummy skulls, and data analysis (read about Miniscopes)
Researchers at the AnderoLab are experts in this methodology, which was originally developed by Daniel Aharoni’s team (UCLA, USA). They have applied it in different studies, including key research on sex differences in processing fear memory (read the publication).
The number of participants is limited, with a registration fee of 600€ covering materials, lunch, and coffee breaks. Interested researchers must register before April 8th 2025, via this form.
This workshop, which will take place at the Institut de Neurociències (UAB Campus, Cerdanyola, Barcelona) presents a valuable opportunity for neuroscientists to refine their expertise in modern imaging techniques and advance their research.
