11F: Women and girls in Science Day
February the 11th is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, and to celebrate it we're running activities in schools and high-schools.
On the one hand, Joana Garcia and Dr. Núria Gaja will give a talk on women in neuroscience at the Angeleta Ferrer high-school, in Sant Cugat. In this talk, they will introduce students different women who have been important in the history of Neuroscience, and the research they carry out at the Neuroplasticity and Regeneration laboratory.
On the other hand, Dr. Montse Solé, from the Neurovascular and Neurodegeneration Unit, will participate in an initiative of the Montpedrós Institute, in Sta Coloma de Cervelló, where students meet women related to the scientific world. The activity will consist of an exhibition about these researchers and a talk at the center.
