Neuroimmuno-gastroenterologia (NeuroGast)
The aim of the preclinical and translational research group in neuro-immuno-gastroenterology (NeuroGast) is to study the basic mechanisms related to the control of digestive function. The group is made up of professors from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the UAB. The main objective is to transfer the results of the preclinical research to humans and animals (both companion and farmed). The strongest point of our group are the agreements with other institutions such as the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals in our environment and other research groups interested in the study of digestive function. Taking advantage of our expertise, we have expanded our portfolio of services to create for several years now an Integrated Laboratory Animal Service. This service aims to train new professionals, the translation of pre-clinical research and ethics to animal and human experimentation.
