Molecular Biology in Neurosciences

This technological platform aims to facilitate the experimental design, training and performance of experimental procedures in molecular biology studies, particularly the analysis and quantification of nucleic acids and proteins. The laboratory provides support in these procedures and in the development and/or implementation of new technologies.

Purification (QIAcube), analysis (Bioanalyzer) and quantification (NanoDrop One) of DNA, RNA and proteins.
Analysis of restriction fragments and PCR products (Bioanalyzer).
Labeling of DNA or RNA probes (radioactive, fluorescent...)
Gene expression analysis (RT-PCR, in situ hybridization...).
Transformation of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells (electroporation).
Genotyping of transgenic mice.
Multiplex analysis support (MAGPIX Luminex).

INc-UAB members will have preference over non-members and within these groups, those who have not previously used the laboratories or common equipment will have preference over those who have done so recently. Another important parameter will be the order of receipt of requests and the technician's possibility of interspersing them with other requests.
