The Histology of the nerve tissue Unit performs processing of different kind of tissue samples in order to qualitative and quantitative evaluate them through optical and/or confocal microscope techniques.
To this end, the platform has qualified and experienced technical staff and equipment with a large range of features (see the list below)
The Unit is available to INc groups, UAB researchers and public and private entities.
Maintenance and coordination of the use of INc’s common equipment from their field of expertise.
Training in specific techniques developed by the specialist technician.
Mandatory training for users in self-service regime.
Execution of experimental procedures by the specialist technician.

Stains (Colorimetric or fluorescent In situ hibridization, hematoxylin-eosin, toluidine blue, cresyl violet, Hoechst), histochemistry and immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence
INc-UAB members will have preference over non-members and within these groups, those who have not previously used the common laboratories or equipment will have preference over those who have done so recently. Another important parameter will be the order of receipt of requests and the technician's possibility of interspersing them with other requests.
