4:00 PM Welcome and opening remarks by Àngel Cebollada, Director of the Department of Geography, and Asunción Blanco, coordinator of the Advanced Topics in Regional Studies and Planning module and coordinator of the Core Project.
4:10 PM Inaugural lecture: "¿Cómo se están adaptando al cambio climático los destinos turísticos del litoral mediterráneo español? Luces y sombras". By Jorge Olcina (University of Alicante).
This is the first lecture in the XIV Conference Series on Territorial Studies and Planning. This fourteenth edition, titled "Tourism and Socio-territorial Challenges: Planning and Management of Inland Tourism in the Vinalopó Corridor (Alicante)", includes six lectures addressing key aspects for analyzing the potential role of tourism as a complementary economic activity in local territorial development.
