Territorial conflict as a relevant social problem

This activity is organized by the Department of Geography  and ICE (UAB).

The objective of the conference is to reflect on the different territorial conflicts (gentrification processes, conflicts associated with water, energy, etc.) and how they affect society, bringing these contents to the classroom to design geography learning situations.

Teachers from various universities will explain the basic themes of the subject, secondary school teachers will present different experiences in the classroom and experts will accompany us on a route through the Eixample of Barcelona, a tour of about 4 kilometers through different points of interest that reflect the most recent transformations of the uses of the housing market and the current socio-demographic dynamics.
