UAB Archimedes accelerator brings together the entrepreneurial ecosystem in a networking event
On the 10th of December, UAB Emprèn organised the Archimedes Networking Cocktail at Casa Convalecèn with Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona spin-offs, entrepreneurs, organisations and investors.
The aim of the event was to network, exchange ideas and inspire with the experiences of different experts who shared their knowledge and perspectives on the latest trends in business models.
The programme included a welcome speech by Maite Ibern, Head of Entrepreneurship and Company Creation at UAB. Cristina Moyano de Navascués, Global Head of Technology Partners at Amadeus, then gave a presentation entitled "Is it a myth that elephants dance with gazelles?. She highlighted the value of innovation and the need for collaboration between large corporations and start-ups.
This was followed by a panel discussion on managing intellectual property to increase business value. The debate was chaired by Gustavo Ferrer, Hoffmann Eitle's European and Spanish patent attorney, and included the following participants: Gemma Gonzalez, Patent Senior Advisor at CHEMO; Pedro Fernandez Nohales, Chief Operations Manager at ARTHEx Biotech; Jordi Ferré Albiol, CEO and co-founder of Kamleon; and Ignacio Javier Martínez Robledo, CIPO of Lleida.net.
During the event, the host Helena de Fuentes presented the different UAB spin-offs: Nanoligent, Tectum Garden, AllRead, Distinkt, Ypsicon Advanced Technologies, BioEclosion, AEInnova, AWEC, Telomere Therapeutics and IDETAN.
The event ended with networking and live music.
