La Universitat serà present al 4 Years From Now (4YFN), la fira d’empreses emergents (start-ups) que se celebra del 3 al 6 de març sota el paraigua del Mobile World Congress de Barcelona (MWC). L’estand de la UAB donarà visibilitat a 3 empreses derivades (spin-offs), 7 empreses emergents d'alumni, 9 projectes emprenedors i 20 grups de recerca amb tecnologies del sector mòbil i digital.

Last Thursday, the sixth edition of the AI4ALL program, created by the UAB Research Park, the Computer Vision Center, the UAB Engineering School, and the CSIC Institute of Research on Artificial Intelligence, has come to an end with the celebration of a contest of the projects being developed.

On the 10th of December, UAB Emprèn organised the Archimedes Networking Cocktail at Casa Convalecèn with Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona spin-offs, entrepreneurs, organisations and investors.

M.IA is a company created by Jordi Clarà and Albert Gil that wants to simplify the strategic decision-making process through the simplification of data. The project was born within the AI4ALL program, organised by the UAB Research Park with the UAB Engineering School, the CVC, and the IIIA-CSIC.

After six weeks, the first edition of Emprèn UAB's advanced entrepreneurship course ended with a session in which two entrepreneurs shared their views on what to expect when starting their own business.

The UAB has signed an agreement with the regional councils of Vallès Occidental and Vallès Oriental and the town councils of Cerdanyola del Vallès, Mollet del Vallès and Montornès del Vallès for the development, over the next few years, of the Chair in Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation. Among other activities, the Chair - which is also integrated by the Diputació de Barcelona and is attached to the Centre for Studies and Research in Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation (CREIS) of the UAB - awards the Eines prizes every year to distinguish activities framed within the seven sustainable development objectives of the United Nations.

During this past November, AEInnova, a spin-off company from UAB, has been awarded the 2024 award for best Start-up Deep Tech at the Barcelona Deep Tech Summit and has received the Innovation Radar award from the European Commission in the sustainable technology category.
