The UAB entrepreneurship competition challenges students and alumni to work in teams to generate innovative ideas that address social and environmental issues. This year, the jury made an unprecedented decision to award all seven submitted proposals. The challenges focused on responsible consumption and health.

This Wednesday, the second edition of 'Desaf·IA' took place, maintaining the same format as the first. Participants worked in multidisciplinary teams following the design thinking methodology to develop solutions related to two Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): 'Responsible Consumption and Production' and 'Good Health and Well-being'. The event was led by coach Pedro Olivares, and teams had access to artificial intelligence tools to enhance their proposals.

In a unanimous decision, the jury awarded all seven participating teams—an unprecedented event in the university's entrepreneurship competitions. The decision was based on the outstanding quality of the presented ideas and the excellent execution of their presentations, leading to a collective recognition. As a result, all participants will receive a €30 voucher to spend at Abacus and expert support to further develop their entrepreneurial ideas.

With this qualitative success, 'Desaf·IA' is establishing itself as a learning initiative that fosters innovation, collaboration, and the use of technology in addressing social and environmental challenges. The competition is organized by the UAB Employability Service's Entrepreneurship Unit, as part of Emprèn UAB.
