The TOUCH MSCA-COFUND doctoral training programme, led by UAB and focusing on the field of mental health, has opened its first call for applications, offering 13 doctoral positions. The deadline for applications is 30 June.

The UAB will be holding a new edition of its "Thesis in 4 minutes" competition, in which PhD students are asked to explain their research in a maximum of four minutes. Candidates may submit their applications from 4 to 20 March, and the competition will take place in front of a jury on 7 May.

The UAB Research Park and the Doctoral School are holding a new edition of the programmee "How to Validate Your Research" addressed to UAB first stage researchers as a way to help them in finding practical applications to their research projects. The registration period will be open until 10 April.

Female PhD students and supervisors from different fields participated in a colloquium to increase visibility of women in science.

The Doctoral School celebrates the International Day of Women and Girls in Science with a colloquium to make women visible and reflect on their presence and role within the scientific community.

On Friday 17 November at 6 p.m. the 12th PhD degrees and extraordinary PhD awards ceremony will take place at the Sala Arnau de Vilanova of the Hotel Exe Campus, located in the UAB's Vila Universitària.

This session will be held on the 28th November from 11 to 12 h and will be delivered in hybrid format.

The UAB was selected to carry out one of the 30 projects awarded funding by the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions – COFUND of the Horizon Europe programme, with a budget of almost five million euros. The project, which allows covering the salary of up to 24 pre-doctoral positions, includes the involvement of up to seven institutes from the UAB-CIE Sphere and the CORE Mental Health Network.

Starting this July, the Doctoral School has opened a new workspace available to all its doctoral student and designed together with the Graduate School.
