Extraordinary doctorate awards

There are special awards on all doctoral programmes according to the scientific merit of the theses presented.

The evaluation criteria for the award are the following:

• Publication derived from the thesis in which links to the UAB and the Department appear
• Impact factor or quartile of the journals that published the articles
• European/international doctoral research component
• Reasoned evaluation by the members of the board of examiners on whether it merits a special prize. This evaluation should take into account the design and originality of the research, the quality and quantity of data collected, the quality of the defence and the impact of the study in the discipline

Candidates should present 3 copies of the printed documentation in order that the evaluation criteria may be applied. Impact factors, the quartile of the journal and the area in which the work has been published along with a copy of the articles should be included.
