Doctoral Workshop on Chemistry to celebrate its 13th edition
The 13th Doctoral Workshop of the PhD programme in Chemistry will take place on on 23rd and 24th of May at the Auditorium (Sala d'Actes) of the Faculty of Sciences.
This event aims to strengthen the links between the programme's research groups, with the ultimate goal of promoting interdisciplinary and more ambitious research projects. During the event, 14 young researchers from the PhD programme in Chemistry will present and discuss their research work. In addition, the Doctoral Workshop will include an interesting series of plenary lectures given by renowned national and international experts.
Plenary lectures:
Thursday, May 23 at 09:15h: ”Operando modelling of functional nanostructured materials for future Technologies” by Prof. Veronique Van Speybroeck, Centre for Molecular Modelling, Ghent University.
Thursday, May 23 at 15:00h: “Micromotors in action as smart microsensors: just a concept or a reality?” by Prof. Jesus Alberto Escarpa Miguel, Department of Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Technical Chemistry, University of Alcalà de Henares.
Friday, May 24th at 11:30h: “Development of efficient nanocarriers” by Prof. Beatriz Pelaz Garcia, CiQUS & Department of Inorganic Chemistry, University of Santiago de Compostela.
