WHO publishes revised "Laboratory Biosecurity Guidance".
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has just announced the publication of the Laboratory Biosecurity Guidance. This current revision replaces the 1st edition originally published in 2006 and provides guidance on ways to work safely and securely with highly biohazardous materials relevant to biosecurity. It also provides guidance on how to build capacity at institutional and national levels to address biological risks to ensure that scientific progress continues while minimizing risks to the community and environment.
