As the weather gets warmer, shorts and sandals become popular choices for outdoor activities. However, when working in a laboratory, it's crucial to wear appropriate attire to minimize the risk of injuries and exposure in the event of an accident.

Appropriate laboratory attire consists of long pants or a skirt, closed-toe shoes, and tied-back long hair. In addition to proper attire, it is important to wear your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as a lab coat or disposable gown, as specified by your laboratory's PPE Assessment Form. This is essential for your safety and the integrity of your research. Encourage your colleagues to comply and discuss any noncompliance with your Principal Investigator (PI) or lab manager.

Tip: During hot summer days, it's advisable to carry long trousers and closed-toe footwear to change into upon arrival at the laboratory.
