Eye and face protection

Contact lenses do not provide any protection to the eyes and can aggravate the consequences of an accidental splash, which is why it is not recommended to wear them while working. Since we are always exposed to a biological and/or chemical risk in the lab it is mandatory to wear at least safety glasses with side protection.

There are also the face shield which offer face protection against impacts and splashes.
