Units

The Department is divided in two Units which correspond to the two areas of knowledge that are are treated: History of Art and Musicology. The members of the Units are the teaching staff and the researchers of those areas, and the personelle of administration and services. 

The History of Art Unit takes care of the teaching of the degree program in History of Art and of the Master in Analysis and Maagement of Artistic Heritage. It is also responsible for the teaching of art related subjets destined to other degree programs of the Faculty of Art and Humanities and of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, and of the history of art related contents included in the Master in Formation of Professor for Secundary Obligatory Education High School, programmed by the UAB.

The Musicology Unit takes care of the teaching of the degree program in Musicology and of the Master in Musicology, Musical Education and Antique Music Interpretation. It is also responsible for the teaching of music related subjects included in the History of Art degree program and the Humanities degree program. Besides, it is encharged of the specific teaching of this subject in the Master in Formation of Professor for Secundary Obligatory Education High School.
