Histology and Pathological Anatomy

The Histology and Pathological Anatomy Unit, attached to the Department of Animal Medicine and Surgery of the UAB, carries out teaching, research and knowledge transfer tasks, directly or indirectly linked to the field of comparative pathological anatomy.

Regarding teaching, the teaching staff of the Unit teach the following subjects of the Veterinary Degree: Morphology I and II, Pathology and Medicine and Surgery of Companion Animals II.

We provide anatomopathological and diagnostic support to groups of researchers working on the development of therapies for human and animal diseases, through the Murine and Comparative Pathology Unit service laboratory.

We belong to the Research Group of the Generalitat de Catalunya 'Animal Medicine. Animal and Cellular Models' with file number 2021 SGR 00117.

We organize and develop research in competitive projects and agreements.

We participate in the following competitive Research projects:
