Staff

The Department of Animal Health and Anatomy is structured according to the two departmental units that make it up: Animal Health and Animal Anatomy. And they include the teaching and research staff of these areas in addition to the administration and service staff that support the management and operation of the department.

The DSAA staff includes specialists in embryology, phenotyping of transgenic animals, anatomy, histology, microbiology, parasitology, pathology, epidemiology, infectious and parasitic diseases, food microbiology, as well as specialists with more comprehensive training in some animal species of livestock interest (pigs, poultry, ruminants...). The teaching staff of the DSAA also collaborates in diagnostic and health aspects related to species of companion animals or other species of veterinary interest and, in general, always maintains a close relationship with the other departments of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
