Doctoral studies in Animal Medicine and Health are organized by the Department of Animal Medicine and Surgery and the Department of Animal Health and Anatomy of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. These studies are heirs to the doctorate program in Medicine and Animal Health, which at the time received the mention of quality awarded by the Ministry of Education. Likewise, this doctorate is integrated into the official postgraduate program of Veterinary and Food Sciences, which also enjoys the quality mention of the Ministry.

Doctoral studies in Animal Medicine and Health include two options: Animal Medicine and Surgery and Animal Health. The program aims to train researchers in veterinary medicine and animal health, providing the scientific, methodological bases and training that will allow the doctoral student to develop his research capacity

These studies allow to obtain the title of doctor.
