On November 21st, the III Congress of the TECNIO Association was held, made up of 57 research groups and centers in Catalonia focused on knowledge transfer with TECNIO accreditation, granted by ACCIO, a qualitative distinction that identifies and gives visibility to technology developers in the R&D&I system of Catalonia with differential technological capabilities and the potential to transfer them to the business fabric, making the Catalan innovation ecosystem internationally attractive.
Under the motto “We transfer knowledge to boost competitiveness”, the day hosted presentations and round tables on innovation and knowledge transfer, in which relevant names from Catalan science and industry participated.
In addition, the 25th anniversary of the IT Network, precursor of the TECNIO label, was celebrated and tribute was paid to the 9 research groups that initiated this pioneering program that transformed Catalan research, including two groups from our department.
