Last year over 2,000 people participated. This year marks the seventh edition of UAB's Health and Sustainability Week.

The UAB Health and Sustainability Week, which took place this past 4 to 8 April, included some fifty different activities. On Thursday, the week's central day, all community members were invited to participate in activities such as healthy walks, cooking workshops, laughter therapy and food waste sessions, a 'hug' performance, conferences on mindfulness and self-awareness, etc.

For the first time, this year there were also several food trucks with healthy meals located on the Central Axis of the campus. Ten vintage-looking vans offered crepes, Spanish tortillas, vegetarian hamburgers, Brazilian food, pizzas cooked in wooden ovens and Colombian "arepas". All of this with a mixture of music and nice sunny weather.

From 11 to 15 April activities will continue, such as the solidarity lunch against food waste and physical activity sessions at the faculties.

The objective is to promote activities that encourage healthy and sustainable lifestyle habits. Last year over 2,000 people participated in the activities. The number of participants grew 50% this year and reaches 3,000 people.

The Instagram photo competition is still open and photos can be uploaded until Friday 15 April. Those interested can upload the photo with the hastag #SaludableiSostenibleUAB, tag the UAB (@uniautonomabarcelona), become followers of UAB's Instagram account and stay logged onto their own account. The winner will receive an iPad mini2.
